People are born happy, however, many adults don’t cultivate their happiness and they think they are unlucky and unhappy because it’s their fate. While fate is cruel at times, you are the master of your life and you can change whatever humans are able to change. I know many people who were born in poorfamilies, who faced hunger and who are happy no matter what. I also know many people who were born in rich families, who have everything they want, who are successful but not happy. The key to happiness is unknown to us. But I did a small research, talked to both rich and poor people, and here are seven important things happy people do before going to bed.

1. Pray

Whether you go to church or not, you should know at least one prayer. Have you ever seen people who don’t have anything but they fall asleep and wake up happy every single day? I’ve seen many poor people and when I asked them about the secret of their happiness, most of them said that they pray before they go to bed. My mom also taught me to pray before sleep. She taught me to be thankful for living another day of my life. No matter your mood and day, pray before you go to bed to fall asleep faster and be happier when you wake up in the morning.

2. Read

Stress is inevitable part of life, so it’s important to learn how to reduce your stress levels before sleep in order to fight insomnia. Most happy and successful people read a good book before going to bed. They claim that it helps calm the mind and become sleepy. Avoid reading books online. Turn off your TV, close your laptop about an hour before bed, and enjoy reading an interesting book.

3. Avoid alcohol

Drinking alcohol before going to bed can help you relax and fall asleep faster. However, it can also make you feel anxious and you can wake up in the middle of the night and lie awake till the morning. Happy people don’t drink alcohol, coffee and tea before bedtime. Warm milk with honey is one of their favorite bedtime drinks.

4. Go for a walk

Instead of watching TV or spending your evening on social media, take a short stroll. Walking is a good exercise, mood enhancer, and it’s good for your overall health. Happy people love to enjoy the nature and they do it as often as possible. Going for a stroll right before going to bed will help clear your mind and promote a better sleep at night.

5. See the stars come out in the sky

If the sky is full of bright stars, enjoy it before going to bed. You will fight stress, clear your mind, and find the solution to a difficult situation. Happy people know how to enjoy their lives to the fullest and they notice small things such as stars. Unhappy people notice nothing, except their problems, mood swings and lack of money.

6. Write a journal

While it’s always better to share your feelings, thoughts and ideas with your family or close friend, sharing them with your journal is a great option too. First, you know that your journal won’t tell anyone your secrets and feelings (if you keep it private). Second, you don’t have to wait for your mom to accomplish her tasks or your friend to visit you. Your journal is always ready to support you and show the best way out. Happy people write a journal before they go to bed in order to let go of their negative feelings and thoughts, or just find a solution to their problems. They also share their most creative ideas with their journal so that they can read them early in the morning. If you’ve never had a journal, maybe it’s time to adopt this habit today.

7. Forgive their enemies

Even the happiest person in the world has enemies, so don’t worry if you have ones. But you should never let your enemies hurt your feelings, spoil your life and prevent you from being happy and successful. Happy people always forgive their enemies and people who do something bad to them. The best time to do it is right before going to sleep. You can do it before praying. When you forgive your enemies, you feel better and sleep better. Overthinking is a bad habit that can lead to insomnia. Remember it.
Life is not a bed of roses. There are many problems, sorrows, and unbearable hard times. But it’s vital to be and feel happy, even when you want to cry. You won’t have another chance to live your life, so enjoy it today. Happy people do many things in the morning and before going to bed, you can do them to become a bit happier. You are calm and happy and you don’t have any problems, but you still have difficulty falling asleep. Another reason of insomnia is irregular sleep schedules. It’s important to wake up and fall asleep at the same time every day. Irregular sleep schedules can lead to a chronic insomnia and then you will need to consult your doctor in order to improve your sleep.
When you can’t sleep, it’s crucial to find a smart activity that will help you fall asleep in a matter of several minutes. Don’t just lie waiting for a miracle. When you can’t sleep and you do nothing, you start worrying about it, or worse, you start overthinking your past problems and events. 1. Write a journal

Grab your journal and start writing about your worries, troubles and problems. It’s a good way to stop thinking about them. Once you write them down, start thinking about the happiest moments in your life. Write them down. Now, write down 10 things you are grateful for in your life. Thinking and writing about happy things can help you fall asleep faster, sleep better and wake up happier in the morning. If writing a journal is not for you, take a piece of paper and start writing some happy and interesting small story. Some people claim that it helps them fight insomnia.
Keeping a journal has many wonderful benefits. It can help reduce your stress levels, get rid of negative thoughts, find a better solution to your problem and can help you see the most positive things in your life.

2. Meditate

Meditation is extremely popular these days. It’s one of the best ways to cope with stress, anxiety anddepression. Meditation is also known to prevent and fight sleep disorders. It will calm the your mind and body and hopefully help you fall asleep easily and sleep all night long. Praying before bed is also a good option to consider.

3. Read a book

Reading in bed is a popular and effective way to fall asleep faster. If you are not a book junkie, read any book you’ll find at home. 20 minutes of reading will make you feel bored and sleepy and you will drop off to sleep without noticing it. If you are a book lover, avoid reading any interesting and favorite books, or you may end up reading that book all night long. Opt for an inspirational or science book that you didn’t want to read before. My friend says that learning poetries by heart helps her to fight stress and insomnia. It’s a ridiculous thing to do when you can’t fall asleep, but why not? Give it a try, who knows maybe it will help you too.

4. Play with your pet

When I can’t fall asleep, I love to play with my cat. I usually don’t have enough time to play with her during the day and even in the evening (though I try to spend at least 20 minutes with her each day), so when I stay awake at night I have some time to play with my beloved pet. She helps me relax, get rid of negative thoughts, combat stress and sleep better. If you have a pet, consider playing with her/him a few minutes before bed.
These are some of the best things to do when you have trouble falling asleep. Don’t take a nap late in the day, avoid watching TV and checking emails and social media before bed. Moreover, avoid any conflicts with your family members. If possible, switch off your phone in the evening, or before bedtime. I hope these small tips will help you. 4. True friends

While we all want to have true friends, a 20-something girl is just looking for them. When you are in your 20s, it’s difficult to see fake friends, especially when you have lots of friends. A 20-something girl has to deal with toxic people more often than a 30-something woman, so she wants to finally find at least one true friend she can trust and share all her worries and secrets with.

5. Expensive things

20-something girls want to buy expensive things. Parents can’t afford to buy pricey things, and it’s absolutely okay. When we have a job and we live alone, we can afford to purchase at least one expensive thing a month or a year. 6. Car

A busy 20-something girl wants to have a car to accomplish her tasks faster. She doesn’t have a lot of time for commuting and she is trying to find some smart options. Yes, pets. Pets can make your life happier and you will never feel lonely when you have a furry friend at home. An independent and single 20-something woman wants to own a pet, but often she can’t do it because of her busy schedules. She will definitely make this dream come true in future, if she really wants it.

12. Travel

A 20-something girl wants to grow as a person. Discovering new places, learning about new cultures and meeting different people can help her to achieve this goal. Traveling is a great experience and its has many fantastic benefits. No wonder, most people enjoy traveling and spend lots of money on theirtrips.
A 20-something woman wants to reach many goals and do many things. You may say that not every 20-something girl wants these 12 things in life, but think again.
