7 Instant Ways to Improve Your Karma

7 Instant Ways to Improve Your Karma

Exploring your actions and yourself in general is a good way to improve your karma. According to Buddhism karma means you get what you give. Every time you make a request to the universe, your attitude gets back to you with the same power. Karma tots up everything you do in life, and all of those negative things you did or do come back to you. I believe in karma thus I`m trying to make it better every day. If you are looking to improve your karma, here are some tips to follow.
Ways to Improve Your Karma

1. One day, one deed

Doing at least one deed a day will boost your karma and improve your whole life. No matter how important it is, whether you help an old lady to cross the road or give a room to the homeless one, it will be rewarded to you. You will feel great about having done a good deed each day and others will respect you more.

2. Be thankful to the universe

Be thankful to the universe for everything you have in your life, karma loves it. You should express gratitude to everyone who cares about you. Let them know how much they mean to you or present them with something you know they want or need. Praise your partner when you see them trying to entertain or help you. Giving thanks and praise will change your outlook and you`ll never take anything for granted anymore. Once you start to be thankful, your karma will thank you too.

3. Be honest

All people lie and oftentimes get their lies back. It may seem impossible to live a life without any deceptions at all. Buddhists don`t think so as they believe in karma and take responsibility of every word they say. I used to say white lies to my friends and family when I didn`t want to disappoint them or hurt someone`s feelings. Then I realized that being honest is a lot easier in any situation. Just like Ann Landers said, “The naked truth is always better than the best-dressed lie.”

4. Become a volunteer

Volunteering once a week is a fabulous way to help those in need and spend time with use. From homeless shelters to animal shelters, there are many places to help others without spending a dime. If you can’t volunteer because of your busy schedule, consider donating. You can donate to shelters or bring some food to local food bank.

5. Take care of lonely people

If you have your own family and other people who love you, think about those that don`t have. Nursing homes are full of them and they really need help. Find time to visit one of them to share your love with lonely people. You can easily make their lives better and improve your own life as well.

6. Stop gossiping

Gossiping is a nice way to relax and forget about your personal problems. But it’s just a waste of time and effort. Instead of judging others, read a good book or do an extra task to boost your career and personal growth. No one wants to be the subject of gossip, and you are no exception. The negativity you create when gossiping can affect your life and your reputation.

7. Spread positivity

Making spontaneous compliments is a great habit to adopt. Aim to spread positivity wherever you go. If you notice that someone is in a bad mood, don’t ignore them. Instead, make a sincere compliment to them. You`ll be surprised at how curative your compliment can be for that person. I love to say something inspiring and make a sad person smile. Positivity is the key to a happier life, so why do we spend so much time on negative things?
Now that you know how to improve your karma, develop a habit of doing good deeds, giving thanks, making donations and simply spreading positive vibes around you. Be responsible for your actions since the consequences of negative actions always come back to you

7 Tips for Protecting Yourself from Summer Dangers

7 Tips for Protecting Yourself from Summer Dangers

Like many other seasons of the year, summer has its advantages and disadvantages. There are certain summer dangers that can damage your health and even pose a hazard to your life. I don’t want to scare the daylights out of you. I just want you to be more cautious this summer, because sometimes lack of knowledge can play Old Harry with you.
If you prefer to lead an active lifestyle and travel a lot, you should take all possible risks into account. It will give you an opportunity to keep a healthy skin, prevent you from getting into complicated situations and make your life easier and more convenient.
Heat is not the only thing that can spoil your summer vacation or affect your well-being. During the summer season, you can face dozens of other hazards and dangers. I hope this article will help you enjoy this wonderful summer and feel happy regardless of everything.

1. Air conditioners

Nowadays, many people think that air conditioner is the best solution for summer heat. They use millions of modern air conditioners to keep their houses, offices and cars cool in summer. Unfortunately, this at first glance nice choice is not suitable for everyone. For example, I cannot be in an air conditioned room for a long period of time, because my throat starts to tickle and sometimes even hurts. I’m not the only one who’s extremely sensitive to cold air. Many other people are suffering from the same problem as well.
Why does it happen? It’s been scientifically proven that air conditioning removes moisture from the air and triggers common health disorders and even exerts negative influence on the environment. If you have any health issues, you should do your best to cool your home naturally and try not to spend a lot of time in air-conditioned rooms.

2. Be cautious when swimming

When the temperatures rise, we tend to spend more time in the water, swimming and diving. Lots of people go to the seaside to make their vacations pleasant, memorable and unforgettable. Those ones who live far from the oceans and seas usually cool off in swimming pools or lakes during the summer months. Unfortunately, thousands of people die from drowning. I think that it happens because we often don’t pay a considerable attention to water hazards and forget to stick to water safety rules. Never go swimming or diving alone, especially is the waters that are absolutely unfamiliar. Try to swim with a friend who’ll give you a helping hand in case of need.
Young mothers and daddies should always keep in mind that kids’ swimming pools aren’t less dangerous than lakes or seas. If you have kids, you shouldn’t let them out of your sight even for one minute for the sake of their safety.
3. Keep clear of street racers
I’ve noticed that in winter people drive cars more carefully due to severe weather conditions. But in summer, when the roads are dry, we often lose our vigilance and violate higher speed limits. Furthermore, many of my male friends spend huge sums of money on modifing their cars for better performance, because they cannot imagine their lives without the pursuit of speed. Every night these speed junkies drive their unbelievably beautiful and upgraded cars, looking for a large portion of adrenaline. Frankly speaking, the roar of their cars’ engines usually makes my skin crawl. Sometimes, it seems that they’re afraid of nothing.
Flying through traffic is very dangerous for both drivers and passengers. I like modified sport cars and speed as well, but I think that public streets are not the best place for racing and stunt driving. If you don’t want to become a car accident victim, you should always keep your weather eye open, even if you’re just a passenger.

4. Poisonous animals and insects

Even the thought of poisonous insects makes me tremble in every limb. Without a doubt, every second person in the world suffers from the same phobia. But this common phobia is not ungrounded, because venomous insects and animals are very aggressive and dangerous, especially in summer.
When walking barefoot on grass or soil be extremely carefully, because you can easily step on different poisonous spiders. The most belligerent summer spiders are brown recluse ones and black widows. If you’re a city dweller, then the risks of being stung by insects are significantly lower, but there’s no room for complacency, because these unbidden guests can invade your home.
Don’t get panic-stricken about it. As usual, insects nest in sheds, basements and other seldom disturbed, dark corners. Try to explain your kids, using visual aids that spiders and other insects are not toys or friends.

5. Dehydration

Have you ever heard something about dehydration? Dehydration is a health condition that leads to a significant loss of the body’s liquids. This trouble usually happens in summer due to hot weather. But it doesn’t mean that you should control your water balance only in summer. Water is important to your body all year long. Human body is very smart. It starts cooling itself through perspiration. You might know that the process of perspiration makes your body lose a large amount of fluid and useful minerals.
Make sure you drink 8 glasses of plain water a day and incorporate more water-rich foods into your eating plan. It’s desirable to drink and eat it often, but a little at a time. It will help your body absorb and assimilate water, restore fluid balance and avoid dehydration.

6. Weather dangers

The nature has always been incredibly powerful in the face of humanity. Nowadays, people try to predict the weather, using electronic technologies, but unfortunately these predictions aren’t always correct. If you don’t want any weather hazards to catch you on the hop, you should know how to act in one or another extreme case.
In summer you can suffer from hurricanes, thunderstorms, floods, droughts and other dangers. When I lived in Florida, I had always been afraid of hurricanes and tornadoes. These hazardous, but, at the same time, unbelievably beautiful natural phenomena can cause you a lot of problems or even kill you, if don’t take all appropriate measures to run away. No matter what weather danger may happen this summer, you should always be careful and develop a rescue plan in advance.

7. Heat stroke

Summer heat is a real challenge for both your body and mind. Your body has a unique ability to regulate its temperature and adapt to new weather conditions, if necessary, but long-term and extremely high temperatures can lead to thermoregulatory failure and cause heat stroke.
If you spend a lot of time in the sun, then you have a high risk of getting heat exhaustion that can turn into heat stroke with lighting speed. Listen to your body signals and if you’re feeling bad, you should take immediate measures to cool down your body, because heat stroke is a serious life-threatening condition.
Although sitting at home in an air-conditioned room is the best and the most effective way to protect yourself from summer hazards, it’s not the choice of highly successful people who’re used to live their lives to the fullest.
Summer is a fun season but when you’re not careful, it can be ruined in a jiff. Stay away from any summer hazards and don’t plan to visit any dangerous destinations. Remember, it’s better to be safe than sorry. Have a happy summer! Don’t forget to share your funniest summer stories with us.

Fifth Muslim arrested in connection with Brooklyn ISIS plot

isisflag
“Federal authorities have arrested a fifth man in connection with a group of ISIS sympathizers from Brooklyn who are charged with plotting to join the terror group and wage jihad on the United States.” There are plots like this all over, while our law enforcement authorities are conducting “outreach” to mosques. A comprehensive investigation of mosque teachings all over the US is long overdue.

“Fifth arrested in connection with Brooklyn ISIS plot,” by Selim Algar, New York Post, June 12, 2015:
Federal authorities have arrested a fifth man in connection with a group of ISIS sympathizers from Brooklyn who are charged with plotting to join the terror group and wage jihad on the United States.
Akmal Zakirov was charged Thursday with conspiring to provide material support to the notorious organization by funding overseas-travel plans for several alleged cohorts, according to Brooklyn federal-court papers.
His arrest follows the busts of Abdurasul Juraboev, 24, and Akhror Saidakhmetov, 24, both of Brooklyn, for plotting to join the group abroad.
The feds claim the suspects planned to attack NYPD officers back home in New York City if their overseas gambit failed.
Two additional associates, Abror Habibov and Dilkhayot Kasimov, were also arrested for helping raise travel funds…

8 Misconceptions That Prevent You from Being Happy

8 Misconceptions That Prevent You from Being Happy

Misconceptions That Prevent You from Being Happy
Being happy is surely the goal of everyone, despite the fact that happiness differs from person to person. “Rise up this morning, smile with the rising sun…” I’m absolutely agree with Bob Marley – this is what we all want, but often can`t do. Why? Well, there are a lot of limits in our life that we subconsciously set up for ourselves. These things never let us feel satisfied and it all looks like an illusory cage. The truth is that we make it ourselves and we`re the only ones who can destroy it. Get rid of these 8 widely spread misconceptions and the cage`ll fall for you to enjoy every moment of your priceless life.

1. Something should happen

Do you sometimes catch yourself waiting for something to happen for you to be happy? It`s the first thing you should learn to avoid. All it gives is disappointment. You wait and wait and then wait again. Realize that there`s no time for waiting. If something beneficial is going to happen, it doesn`t mean you should take no actions meanwhile. Continue loving things around you and don`t count on some miracle. This way, you don`t depend on the circumstances and get more freedom. Happiness is all about freedom, isn`t it?

2. I should always consider the other people`s opinion about me

Can you keep smiling when someone says you`re not successful enough for that? If yes, then you should think about the following: do you really find it useful to let other people decide whether it`s time for you to be happy or not? People are different, when one appreciates you, the other always finds something terrible in your behavior. Wake up! Happy people aren`t happy because of the others` approval. They smile because they don`t let anyone affect their emotional state.

3. I should earn more money

Money isn`t everything. They can only solve your financial problems. There are much more serious obstacles on our way. Of course, making a lot of money is a good thing, but you can be gladder to see the shining eyes of your friend or partner even with no penny in the pocket. There are no bills to pay for the clear sky over your head and pure love of your family.

4. Buying brand new stuff is a must

Buying something new and popular is only a temporary satisfaction, not to mention that you spend your hard-earned money on things you don’t actually need. Wasting money on something useless isn`t the way out of real troubles. It`s the same as drinking alcohol: when something is wrong and you decide to drink you don`t solve the problem, but only get a chance to forget about it for a while. Then, you understand that the problem still exists and you`ve only wasted your time. Buying too much brand new stuff is only a little drowsiness that keeps you away from the reality.

5. I should take full control of my life

You can’t control everything that happens to you in life. Nevertheless, there are always more positive moments than negative ones in life. The most difficult thing is to see positivity around and stop focusing on troubles only. Imagine having a full control over your life. I guess it would be terribly boring. Unexpectedness makes your life interesting and exciting along with its risky surprises, if you can find the benefits in every situation.

6. I should definitely have a partner

Most people with no partner feel lonely and depressed. They suppose that relationships`ll make their life happier. Yes, everybody needs a soulmate but that`s not the reason to feel depressed until you find someone. Don`t count on and don`t wait for someone to satisfy you. Only when you`re able to be happy with yourself, you`ll have a truly strong and successful relationship.

7. Perfect life is a happy life

You`re not a machine, thus you can`t be happy all the time. Each person has some hard times and that`s natural. You shouldn`t regard yourself as a loser if you go through the rough times. Even the most popular people face difficulties. Happiness doesn`t mean perfectness, it means you should learn how to cope with any problems you’ll face down the road.

8. I should look perfectly beautiful

Being beautiful is pleasant and it gives a lot of advantages. However, beauty can also turn into a trouble. There are many people who suffers from their perfect appearance as everyone around doesn`t care about their opinion or their hobbies and interests, besides there are so many jealousy around when you look like Angelina Jolie or Brad Pitt. There`s no need to be a perfectly beautiful for happiness. You should love your body and take care of it as eventually everyone is beautiful in their own way.
Happiness is real and it`s always close to us. You should decide what being happy means to you personally. Give no chance for others to make you do what they want you to. Happiness hides in simple things that are always around us. Just get rid of those misconceptions that don`t let you see the positive sides of your own independent life. Do you already know what makes you fully happy and what are you going to reach in your life?

AFDI launches billboards with Muhammad

If speech that offends a group is outlawed, that group has absolute power'
WND, June 9, 2015

NEW YORK, June 5, 2015: The human rights advocacy group the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) has announced a new billboard campaign to defend the freedom of speech and stand up to violent intimidation.

AFDI President Pamela Geller said in a statement: “Because the media and the cultural and political elites continue to impose the Sharia without the consent of the American people by refusing to show any depictions of Muhammad or showing what it was in Texas that had jihadists opening fire, or a devout  Muslim in Boston plotting to behead me before he tried to slaughter Boston cops, we are running a billboard ad featuring the winning cartoon by former Muslim Bosch Fawstin from our Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest in Garland, Texas.”

The new free speech campaign went up on 100 billboards yesterday in St. Louis, 'gateway to the West'. Today they hit Arkansas. Tomorrowanother state.

Screen Shot 2015-06-09 at 1.29.41 PM

Geller explained: “Drawing Muhammad is not illegal under American law, but only under Islamic law. Violence that arises over the cartoons is solely the responsibility of the Islamic jihadists who perpetrate it. Either America will stand now against attempts to suppress the freedom of speech by violence, or will submit and give the violent the signal that we can be silenced by threats and murder.”

“Speech that is offensive to some must not be curtailed, but protected (i.e., the Mohammed cartoons). Freedom of speech is the foundation of a free society. Without it, a tyrant can wreak havoc unopposed, while his opponents are silenced. If speech that offends a group is outlawed, that group has absolute power, and a free society is destroyed. A group that cannot be criticized cannot be opposed. It can work its will no matter what it is, and no one will be able to say anything to stop it.”

Geller added: “There is nothing about this cartoon that incites violence. It is within the established American tradition of satire. If America surrenders on this point, the freedom of speech is a relic of history.”
AFDI free speech drawing ad

AFDI Vice President Robert Spencer stated: “Many people on both the Left and the Right are saying that we should do nothing to provoke Islamic fundamentalism. The immediate answer would seem to be that we should do nothing to provoke violent jihadis, that the prudent thing to do would be to avoid doing things that anger them. But if we did that, they would not they stop coming at us. Last September, an Islamic State spokesman boasted: ‘We will conquer your Rome, break your crosses, and enslave your women, by the permission of Allah, the Exalted. This is His promise to us; He is glorified and He does not fail in His promise. If we do not reach that time, then our children and grandchildren will reach it, and they will sell your sons as slaves at the slave market.’

In light of that, what is the point of asking whether or not we should provoke them? They’re already provoked. A more useful question now is whether it is really productive and helpful to signal to them that we will acquiesce to their threats of violence and change our behavior accordingly, or whether we will instead signal to them that their violent threats are not going to frighten us into submission.”
The ads have been submitted to run on billboards in the St. Louis area. They next city will be going up tomorrow.
AFDI stands for:
  • The freedom of speech – as opposed to Islamic prohibitions of “blasphemy” and “slander,” which are used effectively to quash honest discussion of jihad and Islamic supremacism;
  • The freedom of conscience – as opposed to the Islamic death penalty for apostasy;
  • The equality of rights of all people before the law – as opposed to Sharia’s institutionalized discrimination against women and non-Muslims.

We want to run these across the country.

Just because we are under constant death threat does not mean the work stops. Fight the enemedia, Islamic supremacists and their apologists.
